It was like any other day....
Liz will tell the story - “August 27th, my 9 year old quarter horse was kicked on the inside of her right knee when she was accidentally put out with another horse.
She had a 4” open gash on the boney part of her knee with obvious tissue damage... With increased swelling & infection.
She was started immediately on antibiotics & bute.
You can see the pictures of the injury at the end of this note.
She was cold hosed & walked 3X a day with no signs of improvement
The area was cleaned daily but the pain and swelling continued.
On September 4th Dreamer had X-rays and they showed no bone chips but a fluid test (joint) showed elevated white cells & infection
On September 18th she started an aggressive dose of Horse Moms Supplements. With in a few days she was walking and flexing and the swelling was finally subsiding.
The injury was rapidly closing with out any signs of inflammation and the infection gone!
On October 8th the Vet gave her a check up - including a flex test and she healed 100%....
With NO tendon or ligament damage. She has no fluid or inflammation ad she’s finally able to resume all work.
